Shoutout to the LWV for a great event for the community! Tough district we all know, but I’m still trying my best to make an informed decision of where to devote my time/support despite that, and events like this are so great to have close to home!
Was impressed by Joe Kerr today, liked his healthcare related responses and cited existing legislation useful in reigning in the executive branch, more than the usual, though appreciated, “we need to stop trump” alone we hear from all the candidates. Been unsure about how to feel about a candidate who ran previously and was unsuccessful, though someone pls check my naïveté.
Lisa Ramirez and her volunteers continue to impress me with their character. It’s been consistently clear that “she has a history working within and true connection to the community of Orange County”, though maybe again that’s biased perception since I’m from North OC myself? Don’t know how far that goes into south county/IE.
EKV absent for family emergency.
No comment on the other two candidates present (Nina Linh, Francis Xavier Hoffman).
I think I left still weighing Kerr/Ramirez as I was before, though still a useful night! Happy to hear thoughts from anyone else who attended or voters in general from the area. REMEMBER TO VOTE IN THE PRIMARY FOLKS!
