’m an Instrumentation & Control Engineering student trying to build a project that’s actually industry-level instead of another copy-paste college project.

I’m interested in:

  • industrial automation
  • embedded systems
  • PLC/SCADA
  • control systems
  • Industrial IoT
  • predictive maintenance
  • robotics/process automation

I want to build something that solves a real problem and is technically deep enough to stand out for internships/jobs/research.

What are some projects, industrial problems, or technologies you genuinely think are worth building/learning right now in instrumentation and control?

Would especially appreciate advice from people working in automation/process industries.
