Minthara fought her way out with a salami I tossed her

Minthara was unarmed when I found her in the Moonrise prison, so I tossed her a salami while fighting to get her out, wondering if she would pick it up

I found some companion dialogue I haven't seen before while taking the Blood of Lathander.

In my previous playthroughs, I would simply click the mace to trigger the cutscene, take it, and run. That method never triggered any companion commentary. However, this time I tried clicking and dragging the mace to the floor instead. It didn't move, but it immediately triggered the usual cutscene. The rest of the process is exactly the same, except the companions actually speak up.

After choosing "Reach into the light and take the mace.", two random companions spoke. It seems they each have two possible lines, with one of them being triggered randomly each time. Taking Lae'zel and Astarion as an example:

Before taking the weapon:

  • Lae'zel: "Stay your hand! The consequences may be more than we are ready to bear." / "Step away. And banish this mace from your mind."
  • Astarion: "I'm all for looting sacred treasure, but only if I know I'll live long enough to enjoy it." / "Are you sure about that? This all feels very... trappy."

After the weapon is taken and the machine activates, another set of dialogue is triggered:

  • Lae'zel: "Tsk'va—what have you done? Shut it down before the crèche is made rubble!"
  • Astarion: "The crèche is done for, but we‘re not. Run! Run damn you!"

I’ve tested this through multiple reloads, and these lines only show up when the cutscene is triggered by dragging the weapon instead of clicking it. I don't really get the logic behind this trigger lol.
I couldn't find these lines anywhere online. Has anyone else run into this? Is this a bug or is there some hidden mechanic I'm missing?
