I'm really scared. Long story short, I had protected sex a few months ago and then two days later started to feel a dull pain in my scrotum. Got an ultrasound and it said I have varicoceles. Went to a urologist who basically told me my case isn't that bad and to not worry about it. No stds. He said to just try to do pain management wear tighter underware etc. I didn't tell him I had sex before this started out of fear of embarrassment. I'll be honest some days I don't feel any pain at all. Most of the time I feel the pain when I'm laying down or driving. The urologist also told me there's really no way to get rid of it except surgery which he said he didn't recommend for me.
So I'm scared that I basically just have to live with this the rest of my life. And can having sex cause this to happen? I'm 27M
