Beleth wants me to brush my hair...?

Hello, this is an odd one for me. I don't work with Beleth and they have never been on my radar before. I was showering, where I am often the most meditative so I will sometimes have experiences with demons (usually ones I work with) pop up pretty frequently.

For context: I have very long textured hair that requires a lot of maintenance which I've been somewhat neglecting because I've been sick. While I was showering my thoughts were wandering and I started thinking about a hex I've been wanting to do.

I don't typically do hexes or curses and on the rare occasion that I do I'll usually think it over for a long time to make sure it's something I really feel is necessary. Beleth popped up (I asked who it was and they responded 'Beleth' immediately) as I was thinking about this and offered to help, when I asked what they would want I got the image of a hairbrush in my head. I asked if they wanted a hairbrush (I don't have an altar space for them, so it would be a bit of a pain to figure out what to do with a physical offering) and they clarified they wanted me to brush my hair...?

I don't brush my hair every day, as my hair type doesn't require it. Since my hair is textured brushing it makes it extremely frizzy and usually having it well oiled is enough to discourage tangling. I typically do brush just before the shower when it starts to tangle.

I looked up if any of this sounded like Beleth and it seems people mostly invoke this spirit to attract someone back into their life. Ironically, this was a thought I'd had earlier this morning before dismissing it because I personally don't feel comfortable using magic for that and King Belial had told me this person will not be returning to my life and to suck it up.

Part of me is wondering if this is King Belial testing my resolve as he has been very clear about not returning to that situation and (as I'm sure many can relate) I am not always the best at listening to perfectly good guidance. But I had already dismissed the thought of doing it almost as quickly as I'd had it. And of course there is always the part of me that thinks none of it means anything and my mind just ran away with me.

I will also add that the way Beleth appeared to me (old, haggard, little to no hair or teeth, mottled skin) was the same way a spirit had appeared to me years ago and would watch me from my attic or follow me by dragging itself across the floor (it was only the torso up...) It used to freak me out because the energy was a bit ominous but eventually I managed to cast it out. Does anyone have any comparative experiences? I know these demons appear differently for everyone, but the circumstances don't seem to fit anything I found about Beleth.

TL/DR: why would a demon want you to brush your hair as an offering? I know self-care can be an offering but I am usually pretty on top of my hair-care when I'm not sick, brushing isn't something I need to do often for my routine as it's not too good/necessary for my hair type and it just felt a bit random. I know in some spiritual practices hair is considered sacred, but I can't cite anything specific that I can remember outside of that.

Do demons usually approach for something outside of their scope? I was thinking of performing the hex to repel unpleasant people away from somebody I'm worried about, so could it be that Beleth's 'attraction' aspect also works in the reverse and that's why this particular demon came forward?
