A few weeks ago, a grad school student named Olivia posted a survey in this group, and we who took the survey were promised compensation. In good faith, I followed up on an offer to do a telephone interview for another $25 compensation. The study was official with a university name and an IRB number, university is Drexel, etc. in total, I am owed $40, and it’s really not a lot of money, but it’s frustrating.
I have not heard from Olivia yet and I guess I’m just warning people here sadly not to trust these surveys. I do participate in surveys on various websites for money. I have never had a problem so stupid me trusted it.
It really sucks for any other graduate student posting here in good faith because I had a lot to contribute and I won’t be doing that again.
