I think it is obvious that a couple of big players have been playing a long btc-short LTC trade for a while, benefitting from that spread, or rather causing this spread to get wider. There is a good chance this is coming to and end and this might cause LTC to move up as those players have to cover their positions while LTC at the current marketcap would have to move up a good bit.
