Wio Tracker L1 Pro died - HOT and won’t boot
My Wio tracker L1 Pro died last night with about 60% SOC on the battery while not plugged in. This morning when I plugged it in (figuring the battery died until I remembered what I left it at) the chip got super hot to the touch with the power switch off and was only measuring 3.2 volts.
When plugged in and left alone for about a minute, it will boot to the MeshCore boot screen, but just hang.
It wouldn’t mount itself on my computer and I couldn’t do a serial output for the boot either.
It’s a few weeks old and worked great until last night when presumably this happened.
Here’s what i measured. Anyone have a similar experience?
2.8V – battery on board, switch off, no USB
3.2V – battery terminals, switch off, USB plugged in (board hot)
3.1V – battery terminals right after unplugging USB
0.7V – battery terminals with switch on (collapsed under load)
3.1V – battery alone, off board
