So for the past two years and a little more, I had a friend Kyle serving in Ukraine, and he unfortunately was killed in October 25th, 2025 from artillery defending the Zaporizhzhia region. However his unit sent me his bag back home, and I thought people might be interested in seeing the clothes you get issued in Ukraine. From what I understand, this is basically the bag you get during training, and then most people tend to buy other gear or multicam, etc. The things in here seem used very little with the exception of a few items, so that's probably true. They kept the plate carriers, the nvgs, and other hardware which is fine by me, they need it.
I sent them a bunch of thermal monoculars a few months ago, and hope they're still fighting the good fight.
Pictured:
A massive duffle that I'm fairly certain is waterproof. It's actually very robust.
Standard field pants and riggers belt, using NATO sizes which I found interesting.
Uniform Blouse
UBACS (this feels much... Cheaper than Crye or other, hard to describe. Fabric is very thin and retains odors, and the zippers get stuck constantly)
A bunch of green tshirt with Ukraine trident
Green fleece Jacket, actually a really really nice jacket, has vents in the armpits and reinforced elbows and forearms. This jacket is my treasure since it fits me.
Cold weather jacket. Feels like a different material than everything else, and the zipper is busted...
A load of socks with 3CY printed on them, a boonie hat, knit hat, gloves, balaclava, and what I'm pretty sure is a knockoff wilcox mount.
An unbranded helmet that weighs a huge amount. I'm guessing this is why it wasn't taken along with the other armor. It's like a brick.
A leaf/ghillie suit in a bag? I was surprised this wasn't taken with the other armor, it might have been missed. It says Lapa on the bag. A bit shiny but it sure does look like a pile of leaves.
Boots, which I'm pretty sure are not issued. I remember him saying the boots sucked so he had his own, and these say cabelas lol, so unless they've globalized, I'm guessing these were his.
Not pictured: a 3 piece sleep system with a waterproof bivvy and compression sack. I didn't want to take it out because it's a bitch to pack again.
Anyhow, hope people find this interesting. Слава Україні!
