Tidal 24bit192kHz vs Sporigy "Very High"

So I just spent an evening doing my own listening test of Tidal 24bit/192kHz vs Spotify Very High and I genuinely couldn't hear a difference.

Chain: Topping DX3 Pro+ Shure SRH840A. Not entry-level, but not flagship either.

My question to those with more experience: is this a limitation of my equipment not being resolving enough to reveal the gap? Or is the gap between hi-res and a good lossy stream just... not really there for most human ears in practice?

I want to believe the Tidal subscription is doing something, but my ears aren't confirming this. Genuinely curious whether better headphones or a better DAC would change the result, or whether I'd just be paying more for the same outcome.
