I've seen so much contention on how this match should have played out and while I believe that Japan should lose (depending on how the rest of the story progresses), I never once thought it should be a blowout like so many people are saying. Then I realized the issue is in the perception of this team, I viewed them coming in as one of the strongest nations as 300+ chapters have built up and should have a realistic chance of winning like a top 10 team in the world would so I'm curious how everyone else sees them.

People act like Rin has been nerfed and lost his skills after his 1st attack but that hasn't been the case in this match.

Being man-marked by Hugo in the 2nd goal.

In every attack he's been present or marked by the best performing player on the field but people are acting like he's skills just vanished rather than appreciate that Hugo is doing good defensive work which is the same thing that happened with Kaiser and Lorenzo and is to some extent what is happening with Loki. Kaiser was called a fraud because he was being shut down and Loki is considered a fraud because Japan is marking him so heavily that the rest of France has practically free reign and this is something we are told.

If this is how attacking players are seen when they can be stopped is it really a mystery why Kaneshiro has to make them practically flawless for them to be considered good, even Isagi was still adding something up front by creating chances especially compared to someone like Reo and yet people were complaining that Isagi is being protected by plot by staying in instead of Reo.

TLDR Rin hasn't been ghosting like people say he is, ghosting is what Yuki was doing the 1st half of MC game.
