Unused Potential in the Design of Certain Skills?

I get the feeling that some skills are simply completely useless—or rather, that it’s not worth investing any time in training them at all. A prime example of this is Swimming or dodging.

Dodging is a cool mechanic, but what difference does it actually make whether my skill level is 1 or 100?

With weapons, I deal 141% more damage; with Running, I move faster; and with Jumping, I jump higher. I feel like some skills are somehow missing that kind of additional benefit.

And—while it might be quite atypical for Valheim—wouldn't it be cool if certain skills had specific milestones? Something like: once you reach level 40 in Swimming, for instance, you can attack while in the water?

Also, I feel like there are still some skills missing from the game—Sailing, for example. At level 100, you could sail 50% faster, and the ship would be more agile to maneuver. And if dodging has its own dedicated skill, why shouldn't Parrying have one as well? Are there any other skills you guys feel are missing or could improve in some way?
