Found a good deal on a seemingly new dryer that was tested to work. Tried it out last night and found it does not heat up. Will test today for proper voltages but it looks like the heating assembly may be bad.
Plan is to disassemble today and verify that is the issue, and was looking at the part cost ahead of time. First time buying an appliance part this complex, and am just a bit nervous with the price disparity I am seeing. LG sells the heating assembly for ~$220, but I am seeing it for around $60 on Walmart and Ebay. There are other less known websites selling in the $100's.
I'm leaning toward trusting a well rated ebay seller over a random Walmart 3rd party dealer, but does anyone have any advice or reasons to buy from a pricier source? Or just a good source in general that can be trusted for parts like this?
