I recently got approved for the Chase Marriott Bonvoy Boundless card. However, for the first time ever, the AU card I requested for my wife came with different numbers than my card. This is new to me because throughout the years, all AU cards I requested across all card issuers had an identical card number, and the only difference is the name on the card. Not sure if that is a new practice or something else. 

My question is, does the AU spent on the card contribute to the sign-up bonus?

I'm asking because the sign-up bonus tracking tool on the Chase mobile app did not show any progress after my wife made the first purchase. I noticed that the purchase showed rewards after the transaction cleared, but no progress yet. I will be extremely annoyed if the bonus is only for the primary user spent only, which is usually not the case, but I had to check up before my wife make more purchases haha.

I received an email from Discover yesterday informing me that my Discover card will soon get an update in the benefits starting on July 27, 2026. That includes that my Discover it card would be managed from the Capital One app and website from that date on. It seems that Capital One is slowly fading away the Discover brand which make me believe that we might also see rebrand of the Discover network into the Capital One network at some point in the future. I hope we get extra benefits. I always had a positive experience with Discover. It’s sad to see it slowly going away.

I plan to apply for the Marriott Boundless credit card using the Chase mobile app in a few days. However, in the past, my application was flagged for additional verification because I had VPN enabled and forgot to turn it off before submitting the application. Could having the Apple Private Relay on cause the same issue?
