I just want to preface that I understand everybody’s experiences are going to be different but honestly the more the differing opinions the better. I welcome the good, the bad and the “it’s alright” too.

So I got client systems as my job and leave for basic in a month. I was just wondering what are people’s average days looking like. I plan on waiting a year to really figure out what I want to study for a degree. Is the goal of acquiring of a degree in the last 5 years (I signed a 6 year) viable? What are the hours like? What type of situations will I have to deal with (good and bad)? If I plan on going a computer science route will this help? Am I more likely to stay stateside or will I be able to visit another country or 2? Etc. Thank you for any and all input not necessarily worried just more curious about what I should plan to look forward to so please don’t skimp on the details.

Also a bonus question if I were to put Ellsworth as my last choice on my dream sheet would the chances of me going there be higher than say a base somewhere else. (Originally from South Dakota and wouldn’t mind being closer to family but would also enjoy warmer weather)
