Is 5"+ too long of a Mk IV if the intention is to run it suppressed?
Hi all,
I've been toying around with getting a Ruger Mk IV (or Browning Buckmark) pistol for plinking, that I plan to primarily shoot suppressed with either my OCL Ti22 or my Ti22K. I've never cared for the look of the super short versions of these guns, and I know the 4.4" barrel length is common. My local shop has an anniversary edition with a 5.5" barrel. I liked the feel in the hand, but I'm wondering if adding a 5.1" can (or 3.5 inches on the K-can) would make it too long.
Curious if anyone has shot a variety of barrel lengths suppressed and has any insight or general opinions. Thanks all.
PS: I hate the look of a giant pic rail on top, so I'm sure I'd end up buying some sort of adaptor plate that (I assume) fits into the existing drill & tap holes.
