Printer Problem
Hello,
I have a Brother MFC J5855DW that I had connected and working on my Desktop, but I've been having issues after updating to Fedora 44.
I've tried:
- Rebooting both devices
- Disconnecting and reconnecting both devices from the network
- Checking CUPS web interface
Something I find odd is that the printer still shows up as an option in programs like libre writer, but if I try to use lpadmin -x to remove it, I can't.
CUPS also doesn't list any connected printers, and trying to connect to the printer results in various errors. I even double-checked that all of the connection information matches with what shows up in CLI when I check there.
I feel pretty sure that if I can resolve whatever is causing the printer to still show up as a print option, I'll be able to just reconnect through kde GUI as I did when I first connected to the printer.
Internet searching hasn't gotten me much further than some commands to see some information like ipp address, and learning what the CUPS webui is.
