I wanted to share an update on the playmat project. After getting some really solid feedback from you guys on the first test batch, I took it upon myself to fix a few things that needed to be polished.

For the V1.1, I’ve already implemented these tweaks based on what you pointed out:

• North to DEW: Path visibility is much clearer now.
• High Pass: Properly marked and opened up the mountain passage.
• Moria: Cleared some space and made the exit door actually pop.
• Mirkwood: Sharpened the borders so they don’t get lost in the forest.
• Shadow Strongholds: Fixed those generic label errors.
• Barad-dûr: Expanded the deployment area to provide more room for your armies.

I also wanted to mention that I still have 10 copies from the original batch (6 in English, 4 in Spanish) that have those small labeling and layout "quirks." Instead of just tossing them, I’m letting them go at a 40% discount as a first-run collector's item for anyone who doesn't mind the errata and still wants to get a premium functional mat to play with. Each of these copies will come with a printed reference card—like the ones shown in the images—explaining all the specific refinements integrated into the V1.1.

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share the final prototypes for the thematic plywood chests I’ve been working on.

As you can see, the weathered look is intentional and everything is engraved directly into the wood. I designed it to be compatible with the original game inserts, but it also includes its own internal storage for the minis, cards, and tokens.

This was designed to be a companion piece for the playmat I shared here before. I’m currently looking at these two finishes. I'm calling them "Coffee/Brown" and "Darker" for now, but I'm definitely open to suggestions if you guys have better names for these colors.

I’d love to hear your feedback on the design or which of the two finishes you think looks better.
