Hi!

I recently remembered playing such a game, but I can't remember the name and I couldn't find it on the web. Can anyone help me?

AFAIR it had monochrome or at least very colorless graphics, a (kinda?) isometric perspective, and a 3D-ish terrain with hills and valleys. It also had an editor for battles, and it came with many premade battles from different time eras. The battles ran in real time with a pause function to issue commands IIRC.
