Does anyone else have this controller issue or could it be me locally?

Title - and it's fine outside of gunner view. Since the update, the right stick axes are oddly switched. Left-right controls up-down and vice versa. "Fixing" the bindings breaks it for non-gunner view.

I've reset the control bindings, axis calibrations, and reinstalled the game.

Game-breaking as far as using my controller goes for now. If I swap the axes in controls, it works for the gunner view, but then it's backwards for non-gunner camera movements. Weird but I'll keep loving this in dev game.

It's fashionable to hate the GRV6 or ignore its problems. "Cheap plastic" - "Gimmick circuit" - "Just get a FLX10" - all BOGUS. Skip the Reddit haters and paid-for Youtube shills.

Bottom line: It's the best value mid-range controller for bedroom DJ's, entry-level club work, and house parties. For the price, nobody Pioneer/Alphatheta has native STEM support and 4 channels.

Here's the worst takes I've heard:

"Gimmick circuit"

This is the GRV6's hidden gem that people love to hate. Even if the Groove Circuit is useless (it has its moments), you get a whole row of controls you can custom MIDI-bind. 18 buttons, 2 knobs, and 2 levers. Almost nobody else sees this. I have slip reverse on the shift+lever control, and I plan to put FX2 controls on the buttons. You can do anything with these from STEM's to samples. Neither the DDJ-1000 nor FLX10 offer this much of a blank canvas.

"Just get new $1000+ controller (FLX10, XDJ) or off-brand instead"

Great, let me just find an extra $1k under my couch or give up on my hoop dreams of playing clubs w Rekordbox/Pioneer setups. The GRV6 price is superior to any other new(ish) gear. Heavily used DDJ-1000/DDJ-800, etc. offer some niche features and connectivity BUT they're old and perhaps unreliable by now. Also skip the FLX6 it's almost the same price as a FLX4 for reasons. I got my GRV6 used almost brand new for $750. Many examples go for $600-$750 like new. Buy used and save the sticker shock. It's a LOT of controller for the price.

GRV6 build quality is great for plastic. Yeah it's worse than a CDJ, but it's leagues ahead of my FLX4 and just short of a FLX10. Get your hands on one and see. The buttons aren't amazing, but the knobs and full-size jogs feel nice. Maybe not for scratching pro's, but a huge upgrade from my toy-ish FLX4. The GRV6 has build quality to it.

"No XLR!!!111one!!1"

Yeah, there isn't an XLR. Fade me. You can convert the TRS to XLR and call it there. Also, who the hell NEEDS an XLR anyways? Clubs can use RCA cables. Most DJ's rarely if ever bring their controller to a club and plug it into an XLR. I saw one club manager say they run GRV6's at TWO of his/her clubs, so it must work ok for them. I have no use for an XLR at this time in my apartment parties, and if I really NEED an XLR out I'll go shopping for different gear. But for now, no XLR, just my GRV6.

Conclusion

So that's my 2-cents. It's a great (not so little) controller with incredible flexibility, cool features/extra controls, and an acceptable price by today's standards. I hope y'all like my click-bait title. Pick one up if you're outgrowing your FLX4 for bedroom DJ'ing or house parties. You don't need to spend over $1,000 today to get a quality, 4-channel, STEM's-centric controller. Just get a used GRV6, they're everywhere.
