Find the critical blunder that led me to an awful green water bloom
This pic was taken a few days before the bloom, the small light on the left was left running 72 hours before I noticed the green water. Did a 40% water change and currently on day 2 of a total blackout.
The set-up is a 25g long and a 20g tall in a T formation, with a prototype water bridge allowing livestock to travel between tanks. Currently running 2 HOB filters, thinking about upgrading to a canister filter to support both tank and have a current between the tanks.
Livestock:
- P-Class Endlers
- 8 blue dream shrimps (in the 20g) and 10 blue velvet shrimps (in the 25g)
- 1 young assassin snail (1/2 in) and a lot of pest snail
The root cause of the green bloom is not the light I left on, thats a contributing factor, the true root cause is visile in the picture
