What's the monthly cost of living for a student in Tokyo?

I'll stay in Tokyo for 6 months and I was wondering if a monthly budget of 200,000 to 250,000 Yen will be enough for somebody who lives relatively frugal. I'll try to get a room in a student dormitory as well (:

Is it ok if my financial supporters send me less money after moving to Japan (COE)?

I'm a student from Germany and I am participating in an exchange student program where I will be attending a Japanese university for 6 months.

I have to apply to the uni and COE now, 6 months before my stay. In the next 6 months I'll work and save money for Japan (700,000 Yen to 1,100,000 Yen). I'll also receive so-called BAföG, which means I'll get at least 110,000 Yen a month from the German government while staying abroad. Many students receive this aid and I've been receiving it for the past couple of years, but it gets renewed every year, so I don't have proof of any of these savings/income right now, as the renewal period will coincide with my stay in Japan.

Two of my family members will confirm that they will support me with 150,000 Yen a month.

Now, what will most likely happen is that I enter Japan and then the German government validates that I'll receive 110,000 Yen monthly from them. After that I'd tell my two supporting family members, that they can lower their monthly payments to 40,000 Yen a month.

In the end, I'd still have 150,000 Yen a month available to me, but my supporters would pay less then previously stated.

Now my question is: Would this cause any issues or is this fine, as long as my supporters are able to pay me that amount in the worst-case?

Thank you very much in advance for all answers and comments (:
