I’ve been going to Coachella for six years, and I was lucky enough to get tickets—but the system this year felt really unfair.

The fact that people can check out with up to 8 tickets per account is a huge issue. It just encourages resellers to buy in bulk, especially after how crazy resale prices got this past year. It’s obvious a lot of people saw dollar signs instead of thinking about actual fans who want to go.

Coachella should seriously consider limiting purchases to 2 tickets per account, per weekend. That would give more real fans a fair shot instead of letting a smaller group scoop up large quantities.

I honestly can’t remember the last time advance sale sold out like this. And the reason resale was so high this year wasn’t just demand—it was because the lineup was strong enough that people didn’t want to sell. Simple supply and demand.

It just sucks seeing tickets already listed for resale literally 30 minutes after selling out. That means people bought them with the sole intention of flipping, not attending.

I feel bad for anyone who missed out because of this. It turns something that should be exciting—especially for first-timers—into something way more expensive and stressful than it needs to be.

And honestly, I hope the people who overbought trying to profit end up having to sell at a loss.
