Hello,

My Cloud is 11 months old (turning 1yo next week). He has neurologic tics and we don't know what it is. Our vet says vet neurology as a specialty is relatively new in the Philippines although they are doing their best to study his condition, isolate a treatment plan that helps him, and figure it out.

He used to be quite active and playful. Now, he has been very very careful. The tics and jerking tires him out so he doesn't want to walk or go up and down stairs anymore. He is prone to falls. He especially experiences the tics during meals, when drinking water, and when he poops and pees.

We already had an MRI but brain structure is normal.

Perhaps there's someone here whose dog has the same condition?

What's been done and discovered through our vets:

  1. Brain MRI - results were normal (but maybe there's something else they didn't see? I have the image files)

  2. Hip dysplasia that's genetic - he has started accupuncture and laser therapy for it. Vets say it's not related to the tics. Xrays were done.

  3. Accupuncture for his legs - we're starting here. Once he gets used to the needles after some sessions, vets will try accupuncture on his head too.

Can anybody help?

Thank you so much in advance.
