Looking for slight V or neutral-ish all rounder under $250
My first IEM was the Truthear Nova, and I enjoyed it overall. Was pleasant to my ears, liked the detail, separation, and thought it did okay on busier/layered music. I've messed around with EQ only slightly.
Recently tried from my friend in the hobby:
- AFUL Explorer: liked the fit/comfort, but it sounded a bit boring to me and less detailed/spacious than I wanted.
- EPZ P40: genuinely hurt/fatigued my ears after only a brief listen. Fit also wasn’t great, I’m guessing I may be sensitive to brighter iem's.
- Artti T10: meh overall, and the fit was uncomfortable.
- Tanchjim Origin: sounded REALLY good for female vocals and cleaner music, but I couldn’t justify it for the rest of my library at the price.
- Truthear Hexa: Alright I guess? thin, In-offensive
I’m looking for a comfortable all-rounder no pricier than 250 USD, that still has good detail, separation, and soundstage, but isn’t sharp/fatiguing. Not expecting something to super wow me. I guess im looking for something more neutral or around the area, slight V is fine. Not a fan of super warm or super bright. Just want it to do what the song needs
Music is a mix of J-pop/J-rock, kpop, OST's, orchestral, electronic/trance/synth heavy stuff, pop/hiphop, french hits, and general gaming/media.
Open to all recs, I know some cheaper sets beat out plenty of expensive ones if it fits your ear preferences. Have considered trying the dunu kima 2, letshuoer s08, maybe performer 7 if it goes on sale.
