I am running my first half marathon at the end of the month. My training is going good and I’m feeling good overall. My issues is blisters. I will sometimes get small blisters on the tips of toes 3&4 on my left foot. They are always small and so far have not interfered with my runs. But because I am running longer distances frequently, they don’t really have a chance to heal all the way before the next one. I have upgraded to wool running socks and I also bought shoes a half-size larger in case it was just an issue of pressure at the tip of the shoe with my stride. I am also prioritizing foot-care in general (moisturizing, keeping nails trimmed, exfoliating, etc). However, I am still getting them after some of my runs. Any tips? It’s not that bad and if y’all say “this is just the cost of training for longer distances” I’ll soldier on. But if I can change something to prevent it, I’d like to do that. Thanks!
