Is it possible to put together a good gaming PC for $1,800?

I currently have two PlayStation 5 consoles and a PS5 Pro, but I'm interested in trying out modded games like police simulators. I've played all the farming simulators, but it seems like PC has a lot more mods and better graphics. I want to be able to play everything from Minecraft to flight simulators with graphics that are at least as good as the PS5 Pro or better. Can this be achieved within a budget of $1,800? Also, which do you think is better, Intel or AMD? I’m not new to PC but things have changed a lot since I messed with it. I started building and playing with Pc’s when windows 3.1 was around and over clocking up to windows XP, so I haven’t touched anything since hard drives were IDE and 4 pin molex but I’d like to get back into the fun. Needless to say life happened and I’ve been out of the game for a while but I feel confident, comfortable and knowledgeable enough to attempt building today. Can it be done and be just as good as console?
