Hi I just want to say i really like this series however...

Im in the middle of book 5 of pod and I'm getting a bit irritated.

Elijah seems to go through this loop where he:

is overconfident -> bites of more than he can chew -> scolds himself for being overconfident -> doesnt change at all -> is overconfident -> repeat

please tell me this character flaw is something Elijah works on, because the lack of character growth is getting annoying. he's been like this since book 3.
