I am looking at upgrading my watch as the title might suggest.
Im struggling to make a decision between the the Fenix 7x pro solar and the fenix 8 51mm.
I've never used an MIP display before so Im scared i might not enjoy it.
Currently I can get the fenix 7x for about £340 or the Fenix 8 51mm for about £610 (or the 47mm for £540). So the price difference is significant! It wouldn't stop me from eating for a month but I would prefer to spend the lower amount, £200+ is a lot of money to me.
I don't do a huge amount of hiking except when travelling a couple of times of year where the navigation will be great, but its not an everyday thing.
I also do play golf, ans other than that just a lot of running and weights training.
Ive always had AMOLED watches, currently using the Venu 2 Plus which is a bit limited for me, hence the reason for the upgrade.
In terms of screen time, I'll probably never use the voice assistant or if I do it'll be a handful of times, and I will not be replying to messages using my watches keyboard, so I guess as long as I can read a notification at a glance and see if its something important I need to pick up my phone for, thats enough.
Has anyone had any experience with both watches or both screen types? What are your thoughts.
Just looking for some experienced smart watch wearers wisdom to help someone stuck in a cycle of indecision!
