Hi everyone, I’ve been going through a lot of older posts about FNG on here, but I’d really love some more current perspectives—especially from people who started at a larger size.

I had my nurse consult on April 24. I’m currently a 42J and hoping to get down to a D/DD. From what I understand so far, an FNG is likely in my case, and I’m honestly struggling with that part.
Not just physically—but emotionally.

Four years ago, I had a hysterectomy after being diagnosed with stage 1 uterine cancer related to PCOS. That already came with a lot of complicated feelings about my body and femininity, especially losing the ability to ever have biological children. I have no kids.

So the idea of losing nipple sensation too feels like… another thing being taken, if that makes sense.

My surgeon requires speaking to past patients before meeting him, and I talked to two women:
• One still had some temperature response after FNG
• The other had no sensation and was totally fine with it (even preferred not dealing with “headlights”)
• Both said they didn’t have much sensitivity before surgery anyway due to breastfeeding

They weren’t my size (DD/DDD → B), so I’m having a hard time translating their experiences to mine.

I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who:
• Was larger than DDD
• Had an FNG (or were told they’d need one)
• Can share what sensation is like after, and how you felt about it emotionally

How did you come to terms with it? Did it feel like a loss, or did the relief from the reduction outweigh it?

I think I’m just trying to understand what this might feel like on the other side. My surgeon consultation is May 14th. I just want to be mentally prepared with my emotions as well as questions.

Thank you 🤍
