I’m considering a used 2020 BMW M340i xDrive and wanted to get some community feedback before I get too serious.

- Two owners: personal lease, then personal owner
- Sold new and serviced at the same BMW dealer
- 20 service history records
- Oil changes look consistent
- Spark plugs replaced around 60k
- Front pads/rotors done
- Rear pads done
- Brake fluid serviced recently
CARFAX concerns:
- Starter replaced twice:
- 10/21/25 at 71,439 miles
- 11/17/25 at 72,591 miles
- Backup camera replaced at only 326 miles
- Computer reprogrammed at 46k
- Battery charged and windows serviced shortly after
- Out of factory warranty due to mileage/age
The double starter replacement is what has me pausing. Could be a bad replacement part, but I’m wondering if this points to a deeper electrical issue, battery/IBS problem, wiring/ground issue, BDC/CAS issue, or start/stop problem.
Would you consider this a good buy at this mileage and price? What should I ask the dealer for besides the full service records and repair orders? Also, are there any must-have packages/options on the 2020 M340i that this one seems to be missing?
