How to gauge potential buyers?

I'm in Massachusetts, and selling my home. Home hasn't been on the market for 3 weeks yet, but we had some showings. Had a showing today, and 3 families came through. One family in particular really liked the house and they stayed 30mins past the open house time, because they called their broker while veiwing the home and asked the broker to meet them at the property and take a look. The potential buyers and their broker stayed a bit longer in the driveway discussing things, but I'm curious to know if there is a way to gauge if potential buyers will end up making an offer or if they're just on the fence.
When I bought my first home (2020) my wife and I made an offer the same day we saw the house. So not getting an update from my agent about any offers yet is discouraging.
