Is a 12v Cooler worth it compared to a normal cooler? Ive been camping before but this will be my first longterm trip. Ill be working for the RMYC NM for 7 months. 8 days on, 6 days off. While working ill be backcountry camping, and for my 6 days off ill be living out of my car.

Is it worth purchasing a 12v Cooler for my off days, and solar panels to power it so I can eat nicer food instead of 7 months straight of non perishable? I could also just buy a normal cooler and keep it full of ice, but dont know if by the end of my time ill have spent more in ice than the upfront costs for refrigerator and solar, and the extra room taken up in my suv. Let me know what yall think, thanks.

Black one is a 2011 Limited Awd Hybrid with 120k miles. Hybrid battery has been replaced before. No issues besides needing tires. Total Price including tires will be $5,800.

Grey one is a 2005 xlt 2wd V6 with 91k miles. Single owner grandma driven. New tires and everything else is in great shape. $4,750

I dont care about looks tbh. I will be taking this vehicle 2k miles away for work and ill be in a somewhat remote area. So reliability is a must high mpg would definitely be nice too. Ill be planning on living out of this car for 8 months. And plan on selling it in 1.5-2 years so resell value would be good.

Is the other one worth the $1,050 difference or would it not even be good for my application?
