A thought about Johnathan’s anger at Clark after Martha lost the baby
On my yearly rewatch of smallville, and I just finished the season 2 finale Exodus. After Clark blew up the ship, Martha lost her baby and Johnathan totally lost his shit on Clark and basically iced him out of the family during a very tough time for all of them. That made me wonder, was perhaps some of Johnathan‘s anger at the thought that Clark made them lose their “real” baby? I know this sounds awful, and I think the Kents have a great relationship, and love Clark so much, BUT I think it would be a totally human emotion to blame Clark for them missing out on having their own baby, made of their own flesh and blood. It would explain why Johnathan refused to let Clark grieve with the family, because he felt like Clark stole their true child from them. Does anyone have thoughts on this?
