I didn’t like how Will was so oblivious here. He questions it for a grand total of one panel, but basically spends the whole time as a gag character.

In the Japanese raw, Workner doesn’t say “A mirage spell…? Really now?” but rather, “A mirage spell…? No but, I’m sure that was…”. This makes it worse for me somehow, the way the whole thing is sincere rather than ironic or highlighting Elfie’s brazenness in showing up as a clone.

When I see Rosti looking heartbroken over Will’s trauma during their hug, it feels performative. Why is Elfie still hiding the truth at this point? (Not criticising Elfie here, but the writing.)
