Hey everyone, I wanted to share a collection I recently inherited from my grandfather. He spent years collecting these, mostly surface finds as far as I know.
There are a lot of fragments and broken pieces, but also a few complete points in the framed display. I tried to include a mix of everything in the photos.
The clay marbles are kind of a bonus — he found those around old mining sites, and I always thought they were pretty cool.
I don’t have much detailed info on locations or age unfortunately, so if anything stands out or looks familiar to you all, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Just trying to learn more about what he left behind. I'm guessing there's around 100 of these shards. It's hard to see from the photos but each individual piece has the marks of an arrowhead. Either broken from use or maybe during production, I don't really know. Regardless I thought a community like this would appreciate his work. Also there are A LOT more of the framed arrowheads but those are the only ones I have as each of his sons plus grandsons received a frame display.
