Insomnia claims and Sleep apnea claim difficulties
Many years ago I tried to get a sleep apnea claim put through before they made the change to them and I was denied for whatever reason.
After the change I tried again and was denied again. Since then I discovered from the DAV that you need to get a sleep disturbances claim through for something like insomnia 2nd to PTSD and then go for the sleep apnea related to that. I have insomnia with nightmares and it started while I was still deployed to Iraq.
However, the problem I am having is that when I put in a claim for "sleep disturbances insomnia" I get insta-denied by the VA and receive a letter denying my claim for "sleep apnea". When I say insta-denied I mean that I put in a claim on Feb 3rd and by Feb12th the claim was closed and the decision letter issued. They aren't even looking at these much, if at all.
Aside from sitting on the phone trying to reach somebody for the rest of my life is there a solution to this? I legit have the problem but it feels like they won't even give me a chance.
