Laser band or hair transplant

Hey y’all! Thin hair runs in my family and I’m getting to the point where I have to style my hair pretty carefully to hide the increasingly visible scalp in the front and back of my head. I’ve been flirting with buying one of those super expensive laser bands (actually did buy the fancy irestore helmet and then freaked out and returned it before trying it) and Hairmax is looking like the best option because of the number of lasers and no LEDs. However…. While I see a lot of promising studies about the treatment, I see a lot of people who say it doesn’t work for them. I’m worried I’ll spend a year tugging that thing on 3x a week, going through the dread shed, only to wind up worse or the same as where I am now. I still have enough hair that I can hide my thinning well enough, but I’m honestly thinking it might be better on the long term to do something that seems extreme to me and go get a transplant in Turkey. But is it so extreme? The price of the laser band is 1k - and requires literal forever use for ongoing results - whereas the transplant is double the price but more of a one-and-done and much more guaranteed efficacy. Thoughts? By any chance any folks who’ve done this?
