My gf tested positive for an Sti and I tested negative. I’ve never heard of mycoplasma genitalium. We’ve been together for 14 months, when we first met she was having ovarian issues and pain in her pelvic area and she was ok for a while and just in the past couple months she’s been having irregular periods, started using summers eve, and just got tested last week for mgen and it came back positive. Her 10 panel sti test was all negative. She’s getting currently getting treatment
She told me about this and said I should get tested so I took an Mgen specific test from labcorp and it came back negative. I haven’t had any symptoms at all and was honestly surprised because we talked about it before we first started having unprotected sex and we were both clean.. at least o the standard sti panel test, but I hear a lot of places typically don’t test for mgen.
