I'm not disgusted anymore
I've been doing some thinking about the Trump admin and trying to contextualize the daily dumbassery. I'm not scared, I'm not furious, and I'm not even sad anymore. The way I see it, it is like we elected Lex Luthor or Norman Osborn. Any secret plot, or vile plan that we hear about is just par for the course. Like, duh. Oh the person who lives in an evil lair wants to destroy our enslave people? What else is new? You don't get the neighborhood up in arms to kill a dog because a dog poops in every lawn every day. The dog is gonna dog. The villain is gonna villain. It's just what they do. You focus on the handler, the enablers. The part that DOES annoy me are the educated and erudite people thinking they can allow JUST enough villainy to benefit but that they can shut it down when the time comes. That's just hubris. They aren't even good enough at villainy to benefit themselves, so why do they think they can harness Lex Luthor? We literally need an alien sun god to deal with him and you're gonna keep him in check? Cute.
