Quail issues
I did a test run after not hatching for a couple years. I did ten eggs and 3 hatched. One died day one and the other two died the first week. I believe it was mostly because there were only two and they were avoiding each other completely. I kept trying to place them together and they’d wander off away from each other. The second run I did 24 eggs and hatched 16. They made it through week 2 and I haven’t lost a single one. I hate losing them so any time one dies I go read a bunch of threads about how people are raising them to see if I could change anything for the better. Quail are crazy fragile enough as chicks that I don’t need to be adding to their demise.
