Hey everyone, trying to figure out the battery chemistry for the new Model 3 Premium RWD arriving in Canada from Shanghai.
I assumed it would be LFP, but the specs on the Canadian site don't line up:
Speed: Listed at 5.2s (LFP is usually around 6.1s).
Charging: Listed at 250kW max (LFP normally caps at 170kW).
Do you guys think Tesla Canada just copy-pasted the info from the US website by mistake? Or is this actually an NMC battery.
Just came across this article from Not A Tesla App showing that some code digging revealed potential upgrades coming to the Model 3, specifically a black headliner and a new 16-inch QHD display.
Seeing this makes me really hope it's true! A black headliner would look so much cleaner with the Highland refresh.
However, I noticed the article is actually from February 27th. Since it's been a couple of months and we haven't seen it, I'm guessing this probably turned out to be false or got scrapped? Has anyone heard if this is completely dead, or if there's still a chance it makes it into production?
