It hit me today that something isn't right. I noticed that my mom recently has been forgetting that she has told me things. She will repeat it and tell me again after a few days which I thought maybe its just because of old age. I tried thinking maybe she just needs more sleep, etc. Unfortunately I noticed that she was trying to get her computer to work. She had an old charger and a new one and got confused as to which one she had thrown away. Then she asked me if she could rinse off the old charger that had been in the trash and I had to explain that it can be rinsed off and used. It is hitting me that something is really wrong. I am going to bring it up to her soon, but I am so in shock. This isnt a good feeling.
