I’m a 35F(f), who happens to be in their reenlistment window. Went to see what retention had for me and Camp AJ, Kuwait at 160th Theatre Signal BDE was an option. Three year minimum for OCONUS re-up. Sounds like a cool assignment, especially for my MOS. I am not deterred by the current world events in the area, the only thing that has me on the fence, is the length of assignment. If it was a 1-2 year assignment, I would have jumped at it, but three years is a big commitment for an assignment like that. Can anybody who’s there, been there or has had buddies there as permanent party give me the rundown on quality of life? Is three years a feasible amount of time to be stationed at the place like this? If you’re not already stationed there, would y’all do it? Can ya’ll see it getting old quick? Unit culture? Tracking the local populous is very conservative regarding females.
