Castles and Crusades Movement Curiosities
Can anyone help me decipher these movement rules? They don't seem to make sense.
Jogging versus running: Why even have these if the difference is just the multiplier? I feel like they could've simplified the movement rules by removing jogging entirely and saying, "Running allows you to run up to quadruple your movement rate." It's almost like they carried over the idea from 3e but left forgot the extra mechanics (wasn't running -4 AC). Is there something somewhere that I'm missing?
Why are people only allowed to make an attack if they move 1/2 their movement rate? It seems like an arbitrary addition from 2e. Wasn't that in 2e? Wasn't it the only edition to have that? It kind of feels like going back to pawns only moving one rank per turn.
