Volume on iPhone speaker suddenly drops
I mostly listen to podcasts in Spotify on my iPhone speaker, and it keeps suddenly dropping the volume to half or less of what I had it set it. At first I thought it was when I got a notification, but it will also happen seemingly randomly, and sometimes immediately. As in, I’ll have it at a volume I like and as soon as I stop tapping the volume button it will drop down.
I should add that the volume graphic on the left doesn’t change. If I have it at full volume, the graphic still shows full volume, but the speaker is at half or less volume. The only way to get it back up is to close the app and restart it.
I googled it and it said it’s the awareness feature in accessibility settings, but I’ve turned that off and it’s still happening. Anyone have any ideas what’s going on?
