I’ve been really considering to get this synth since I want those cool SH101 sounds and it’s available in my region at a more or less reasonable price. the only thing keeping me away from it is the fact that there’s apparently significant digital noise bleeding from the oled display that you can hear through the audio output. For owners I was wondering how significant this is and if it can be mitigated to a degree that it’s not noticeable in your setups. I heard something about how you can’t hear it through the headphones out. Thanks

I’ve been trying to set this up recently and hasn’t been working for me .

I’ve - connected the midi out 1 from 707 to midi in of td3.

Set the midi channel to 8 on track 8 of 707 (where I planned to map out the td3) as well as on the td3 as well (function + channel , 8)

Set the sync settings on td3 to midi.

Also on the 707 I’ve set the track input to be ext in 1 and I could hear the audio coming through from the td3 but only when testing with its internal sequences.

Is there something I’m missing ?

Thanks

Just got a used 707 a couple weeks ago .

Would you guys happen to have any tips or tricks for making your own sounds on the mc707? Or what resources have been useful to you? What have you found successful and what not so much ?

I find a lot of times when I make a sound with pcm waves option the cutoff knob really doesn’t affect much in terms of the sound. And generally I don’t have the best understanding of how to work the filters+ lfos in general effectively. I haven’t tried the matrix stuff at all yet. Do you guys also have a feeling sometimes the preset sounds or waves sound a bit thin ? Like not much punch behind them? Maybe it’s just me.

I think the machine is really cool and would love to make complex tracks on it and even try to set it up for some kind of long set.

(I guess the sounding thin problem is just mine personally since from all the demos and sets I’ve seen it’s been sounding awesome , the internal sounds at least )
