We too had our confirmed reservation cancelled at Regency Rome (award reservation) this month. We have a family of 6 and finding 3 hotel rooms in the most popular city on Earth with a couple of weeks notice is going to be almost impossible. Upon further research it seems like Hyatt corporate has known since at least February? that this hotel was not going to open. How TF did they not notify members with reservations and make attempts to reaccommodate before a few weeks out? Several months ago I probably could have found a variety of available and affordable hotels in a good location. At this point? Most things that would work for us are sold out and what is left is astronomical. And of course we have all kinds of tickets and activities things booked on those dates.
AI seems to think Hyatt offers a globalist guarantee of an alternative room when a confirmed reservation is cancelled, but I can't find anything in the T&Cs. Does anyone know if there's an official policy on this at Hyatt? Link?
