Hi everyone, looking for some advice regarding common-law PR sponsorship.
I’m planning to apply for PR this June with my boyfriend as my sponsor. While organizing our documents, we noticed an issue with our lease paperwork.
When I moved in with him, his landlord prepared a lease amendment to add my name to the lease. I signed the amendment at the time, but we recently realized that my boyfriend forgot to sign that amended copy.
For the application, I’m planning to include:
- the lease amendment signed by me
- my boyfriend’s original lease
- email correspondence between my boyfriend and the landlord where he requested to add my name to the lease
- a signed letter from the landlord confirming that I have lived at the address with my boyfriend for one year
Would this be okay as proof of cohabitation, along with the rest of our shared address/relationship documents? Has anyone submitted something similar where the lease amendment had a signature issue but was supported by landlord confirmation and emails?
Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!
