We recently purchased a house and are working on improving the yard for the first time. This tree is in my front yard, right next to the walkway, which is new and in good shape. It’s also on a hill- there is a retaining wall right on the other side that protects my neighbor’s driveway that I would rather not mess with at this time. The base of the tree is kind of up out of the ground, which makes it hard to cover the base in mulch or the like.
I want to clean this up in a simple and effective way and I have no idea how to tackle it. The landscaping plastic is grown into some other plant that is shooting up but hasn’t begun growing for the season. It almost looks like part of the tree but I’m not sure if that’s the case? What would you do with this, landscaping pros?
